thx for the fast reply, peter! glad you like it!
yeah i know it sounds like the original, but i wanted to keep the chilled atmosphere of the original and add some of my signature sounds, like the chords, the bongos or the pad...

ok

track starting up with a nice and firm kickdrum.. some nice bongos, and a nice chill offbeat bassline.. and from there very little happens, just some lead sounds from the Affinity track, percussions are a bit thin, and an awful generic arpeggiator enters the track..

the track breaks down with the arpegiator, and some nice pads, and the generic boring lead enters the track, which proceeds to the kickdrum.. the tracks gets pretty dreamy, although the lower bassline is not hanging on, not on my system atleast..

ive heard loads of better tracks from you, i think u picked a poor track to remix, Hydra - infinity, what a boring melody.. easily reminded of Santa Cruz by Rapid Eye..

nice kic, bongos and pads, as for the rest, awful melody from an awful track getting remixed..

hoping for something darker and more energic next time

5/10

awful melody, awful track? boring tune? man, you're entitled to your opinion, but that's almost like sacrilege to me.

well Lars, if your goal was to keep the chilled atmosphere, i must say it didn't quite work for me =\. The melody sounds trancier to me, and takes the chillout feeling away for me.
but then again, in my opinion beautiful tracks like these don't need a remix.
dont worry, it's only the first time I don't quite like your work .

btw, you should produce more of your own. I'm still enjoying 'In her eyes', beautiness...

hmmm...seems like i'm on the best way to destroy my 'good' reputation over here with this remix...

@gladius: i'm currently working on some own stuff, but it'll take some time to finish it...for example it won't be at home for the next three weeks...and normally i'm just at home at weekends...time =? the producing killer #1

Hey Lars,

I like what you've done...!

I think you made a very gentle intro, bringing in a little bit at a time while maintaining a pleasant groove.

I enjoyed the texture of the bass which made up for the simplicity of its rhythm.

This melody does it to me everytime - it's a masterpiece of a melody, guaranteed to raise goosebumps. Your use of it was very tasteful.

I think the kick needs a bit of a boost, sounds kinda quiet, but it may be my headphones. I think a few more layers of percs would be really nice.. some skippity cymbals or something.

Your bongos are great - they give the track a nice summer feeling.

It feels like there's a complimentary/secondary melody that is missing - something a little higher pitched that somewhat follows the main melody...

Overall you've done some fine work with this one! Looking forward to the next,
Trev

nice remix...

i've always really loved this track and the relaxing melodies. your take on the track is quite nice as well. i don't quite like the release from the break back into the song. i guess if you were going for a chilled out feel then its fine, but it could've done with a better build.

i was hoping to hear a different take on the melody either with a counter melody of some sort or just slightly changed, but overall you gave it a very nice feel.

hai lee

p.s. try to check out a new track i just posted in the forums titled Hydro - White Widow.. thx. =)

Percussion indeed adds something to the original. It's "vibrating" in the intro Hats and clap seem to be a bit standard, though. Overal a descent production with good synths.
Try to do some more work on it, it will do good.
