i can promise you that the page was not secured, this is because i was keeping an eye on my account very carefully ever since the incident....and i am probably one of the most careful people with my credit card.... |
Two things:
1) Re-read what I wrote about the site being "secure". Franky it doesn't really matter if it's secure or not - fact is that there is so much data, moving so many places it is not likely that someone detected and then extracted your card number from the transaction.
2) Have you used your card "offline" in the last 2 months? If you have, then your card has left your hands (and thefore has not been secure). If you use your card in person - you give it to the teller, waiter, taxi cab driver, sales-person, etc. Who knows what they do with the actual card, the carbon or the receipt. This is where most fraud happens.
