In 2000, he and three co-musicians formed a band, Second Sun. After coming up with the concept of their first song entitled "Empire", Matt's perserverance paid off and Second Sun were signed to Paul Van Dyk's Vandit Records. In June of 2001 Second Sun made a guest appearance on Music Plus, Quebecs equivalent to MTV. In September of that year Second Sun moved to Los Angeles to pursue their career. In 2002, Matthew slipped out of Second Sun and decided to go solo. Currently this producer is on the rise coming out with several big tracks and remixes on Lost Language and on Filo & Peri's own, Empire State Recordings, AND is an amazing DJ to boot.
