I just got home from Vegas a few mintuts ago...

But Markus was amazing in Vegas. Too bad he only got too play 1 hour and 45 mins. though

Totaly worth the 8 hr drive...

my review coming very soon as well, had a blast in vegas, empire ballroom was an amazing club, markus was great, farsheed just killed it on the decks and kept me dancing until 9:30 am this morning. more to come later, 6 hours of sleep all weekend makes for one very tired math teacher tomorrow, until then.........

Markus put on an amazing show. I have honestly never heard a set like that in my life, and I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY!! Really nice guy as well, very soft spoken and humble. He will definately continue to be an inspiration to me. Can't wait to have him out again!

thanks christy for the list. we had an awesome time. i only wish there was more of Markus and also Thomas played a really short set. I was looking forward to his set as well. it was my first time in this venue and i love the layout of it. got a chance to check out some dnb in the backroom, the upper deck has plenty of room to lounge around with a nice view of the action below. overall a really open and airy feel. i met alot of new locals and a few LATA's. good seeing michelle again, and also met robert and sarah and some others, which i'm not sure if they're from LA, and of course, gordy, seen his arse too many times LOL. was hoping to hear him spin but oh well next time.

Markus was ON! his set was as SUPERB as it can be. the guy just loves it. from beginning to end he played flawlessly, putting me in a trance a few times. and i finally got to hear Without you near, that was the highlight track for me, what a perfect ending. i didn't get a chance to stay for faarsheed. i'm sure he rocked!

some downside or minor issues
- i thought the sound was off or not eq'd properly, or maybe the volume was simply not up to the right level becuz i didn't feel the bassline as much as i like to but then again i'm a basshead so it could be just me.
- had to go throught the crowded strip to get to the parking. this is a non issue for others i'm sure.

this venue has great potential and i think will be the new hotspot for edm events. afterhours already becoming the place to be.

Yea, i appologize for the traffic and parking issues, but that is out of our hands. My recommendation for next time is to arrive early and park at one of the surrounding hotels (MGM works really well and is easy to get to since you don't have to go on Las Vegas Blvd... makes for a very short walk)

As for the sound, I was kind of disappointed too, and we have already spoken to the venue's resident sound guy about possibly turning up the bass next week for the Kimball Collins show.
