Anybody already has a Virus TI?! Is its Hypersaw as bright as JP8000 (audio inside)?!

Hi,

Anybody where who already has a Virus TI?! How good is its Hypersaw? When the filter goes full open, does it sound as bright as the JP8000 or not?

Here's a JP8000 demo: http://users.skynet.be/soundfiles/motorcycle.mp3 (it's the pad melody from "As the rush comes" by Motorcyle). It sounds very warm, but also when the filter goes full open it has very rich, smooth high frequencies.

I remember that one of the things with the previous Virus synths was that when you fully open the filter it lacks in the high frequencies compared to JP8000, so how is that now with the TI's hypersaw?!

Could anybody with a Virus TI please post an audio demo (wav, mp3) of the hypersaw to see how well it compares to the JP8000. Perhaps you can play the same melody as posted above. If you do the filter sweep thing like in that song, make sure you play it long enough with the filter full open so we can hear how much energy it has in those high frequencies!

PS: if you have no upload space, simply use yousendit.com.

Thanks to anybody who can do this!

It's from a demo of a soundbank for the JP8000 made by Ross Baker, so this is absolutely a JP8000!

So, anybody with a TI can emulate this with the new Hypersaw? Thanks!

i'm sure it is

waht i'm trying to say is that you don't need to spend 2000$ on a synth to get good synths.

Here's a "superstring" i threw together on my Ti, the Hypersaws aren't as bright as the JP's , but some internal Ti EQ can fix that.
No reverb/chorus/delay used in the example.

Cybertrance

[edit]
And yes ... there are still some issues when using a lot of voices on the Ti, in the example there's some sort of skip, when a full new chord hits, you'll hear ...

No actually i didn't use a preset - started from the -START- preset ! it's not that hard to create this one - just activate the 2 Hypersaws 95 detune , the sub osc, and osc 3 to SAW + detune, rectifier distortion.
unison to 8 and max spread, some EQ & analogue thingy tweaking afterwards...
