i think its an audigy 2 soundblaster, one of the cards that says its 24bit but isn't really
anyway, most of the time whenever i switch one or more of the minijack plugs (either input or output) it completely freezes the computer, then i have to restart it.

this is weird because none of the onboard sound systems i've had did this

i've heard that creative cards have shit drivers, is this what causes it?
if not, is there any other way to prevent this?
