I always remember those crazy times and it was always fun. I also remember one time when I’d been playing the Annexe when Oaky had his residency there and I heard he was playing a track from my ‘Seven Ways’ album and then the second track was from the ‘Seven Ways’ album and then the third and the fourth and he basically played the whole album! I was just stood there shaking, I just couldn’t believe it"

I heard kamala mills has been having a few dj's come down now n then...no one as big as PVD but just decent ones.
n yeah my friends had a blast last night...PVD was even chilling with the crowd!
Anywayz...I saw him at roxy, twilo n glow too...the 8 hour roxy set!..aah that was surely an amazing night!
staff at glow sucks though!
A tracklist of the night at kamala mills would be good.....anyone??

Shame / Disagreement Pics...

Awright all you PVD whores - got a couple of pics for ya'll! Sorry I don't have more. All my other pictures came out looking even worse than these, and my camera shut down midway since yours truly forgot to charge the friggin' battery *doh*! Anyway, this is what I have. Will post an extremely(!!!) opinionated review later. Saw a pretty good show by Filterheadz on Fri night (no pics though )

Hmmmm.......notice the iBook to PVD's right? That's where his 3 1/2 hour set came from - Mp3's from start to finish *tsk, tsk*. You be the judge....

Nope, he uses Final Scratch with 16-bit AIFF(pure cd quality) files. No shitty mp3's.

.....actually he was using mp3's 'coz he accidentally clicked on and played the following track midway through the current track that was going on (does that make any sense???) - not once, not twice - but thrice. What I'm saying is - track was playing - main man went o'er to his laptop - tune stopped midway and another track came on. Then he quickly stopped it, went back to playing the previous track, and when the track was gettin over began to fade in to the track that had interrupted earlier (I think I'm confusing myself now). Whatever.....not saying that the 'show' was bad.....more in my review later.

Smiley DJ PVD in Mumbai

Hello all.

DJ Pippins here. I've been spinning Trance mix myself. I'm Born in Mumbai which is my borth town, but now currently live in NY, USA. PVD is my favourite Trance DJ, and have had the opportunity to meet him backstage in person. He is a very frindly guy and quite charming.

Being a Techie geek myself, I did get to know how he does his whole set.

He uses a Apple PowerBook G4 and yes, he uses 16 bit AIFF file. In his interview in his earlier days in Tressor, Germany he mentioned that he does not use MP3 files at all. His laptop is connected to the Final Scratch version 2.0 by fire-wire, and then he uses to turntable decks, with Final Scratch speciallly encoded records. That is why folks, you will notice, that unlike other DJ's like AAB, AVB, he never changes the records.

And by the way, I'm excited to see some photos. Can anybody show photos.

TRANCE TO HEALTH!
Regards,
DJ Pippins
