Problem with Electribe R

I'm having a problem programming my electribe R. it seems that i can't copy and paste any patterns. if i do manage to copy a part to a different pattern slot, then the sounds i had originally used in the first altered pattern are replaced with the default sounds programmed from the factory patterns.

the write protection is turned off, so thats not the source of the problem. ive scanned through the manual many times, but it seems im just not finding a solution.

any of you electribe owners, please help a brotha out

hmm.. I've never had that problem. the only thing I could suggest it dump all your programed tracks on cpu, and restore the factory defaults of the machine. then put ur tracks back in. But, I dont know how to send or recieve midi dumps to computer, I've just read it some where
