how do i check what internet service i am using currently?

i am at my parents place and i don't know what company they use and what the heck is going on?

it's not a static IP and there is no identification on the cable modem. i also don't know what cable company works here.

i want to see if i can get them a better deal on their service because they don't really use the internet that much.
