well It's now Sept 30th and no updates...

maybe they don't know how many to manufacture?
maybe they're nervous it isn't gonna live up to the hype?
maybe someone else has the real answer as to why it's not out yet???

I'm just really curious about this player cuz I want one, just for its feature set!!
and look at this sexy thing...



and at $700 USD it beats the CDJ1000MKII in my eyes!!

I read somewhere that the suppliers have them and they should be reaching consumers within a week or so. Call AGI pro DJ and ask them if they have them in stock.

I'm definately looking at the DN3500...It is also, in my eyes...better than the CDJ 1000. It has tons more features, a DD platter (IT FUCKING SPINS BIOTCHES". You can probably put a record made for the 3500 on top...It has PIONEER AND DENON cueing system, .02% accuracy, plays mp3's, and has EFX.

There's so much more, but I don't know about it :P

I'm kind of pissed they left out alpha track though...that was sick for hip hop mixing.

Just got off the phone with our Denon DJ USA reps and was advised that Denon will not be shipping these units, nor DNX500/900 mixers till end of this month. I STRONGLY suggest pre ordering dn-s3500 if you are wanting them, cause half of our first shipment is already pre-sold.

^^^ I agree. Pioneer hasn't updated their CDJ1000's significantly at all. This is a good kick in the nads for Pioneer - they've been sitting on their laurels a tad too long. Competition is good!
