Are Zippos better than generic lighters?

Even more important, are they better enough to justify a 20 euro price increase? (compared to generic-brand refillable gas & gasoline lighters)

yeah, but i don't really like the cheesy designs on them. if i were you, i'd just get a cheap, plain one for like 20 bucks or whatever euro conversion they are over there.

they have a larger flame, they start almost every time, and for the most part, they're windproof. the only thing that sucks about them is that if you trying to smoke a bowl, it tastes like lighter fluid

and they're nothing like those cheap butane refillable lighters at gas stations.. those suck. and i think american soldiers would burn down vietnamese villages with zippos.. they called them "zippo raids" or something- so if it's good enough to burn a house down, it's good enough for you.

Yeah, I know those cheap butane lighters suck. I was thinking more of those Zippo copies that look exactly the same but are lots cheaper.

EDIT: And the gas-based torchlighters.

Nooooooo!! don't get the cheap copies. they don't work half the time. just fork out the extra 10 euro and get the real thing. real zippos will last a lifetime, or a long time at least.

zippos are cool, but i dont really like them. if i was to use something other than a regular lighter, it'd be one of those torch lighters. those are cool and they're near impossible to blow out in the wind.

Yeah, that's the main difference I was thinking of. Besides a torch-flame is cooler.

Plus you could smoke salvia with them if you use drugs anyway.

either camel or marlboro, has been giving out free zippo's in bars and clubs around milwaukee and chicago. I think I got 3 right now. they give out free cigarettes too. I guess they are trying to keep us american's smoking strong. From what I remember, in Europe, people aren't quiting smoking as much as they are here.
