Recording mixes with this product.

I found this thing, don't know if I should buy it, it's not too expensive.
I would like something that I can connect to my laptop to record mixes, but I don't want to spend a fortune on an external soundcards, and software.

Terratec Phono USB preamp studio.

"The sound-rich duo for perfect audio recordings

Whether your favorite hits are engraved in vinyl or your precious recordings are on tape: With ease and speed, the phono PreAmp Studio USB can eternalize your LP, single or cassette recordings to your PC, for example so that you can burn them to CDs. Simply... using the USB port. All with no sound card!
High-quality phono PreAmp for perfect recordings
Use the phono PreAmp to record your good old audio recordings to your PC with true-to-original sound and no quality loss. The phono PreAmp is equipped with a separate input for your turntable (with moving magnet cartridge) and a line-in input for easily connecting a tape deck or other audio source. Adjustable signal levels, shielded housing, not to mention carefully selected components and a first-class signal-to-noise ratio together guarantee the perfect playback of your recordings. And the best thing about it: The phono PreAmp requires no additional drivers, no sound card and no external power supply. Simply connect it to the your computer's USB port and start recording."

Has anyone ever used this thing?, it should have a line in since it can record from a tape player. Can I record a 2 hour mix with this?

Thanks

if you're gonna use a pair of TT's and a mixer, then you don't need this product. the signal coming out of the mixer can be recorded on the pc using the line in jack of your sound card.

if you just want to archive vinyl. then you MAY want to use this. (assuming you don't want the TT passing thru your mixer to the comp) as you can see in the picture, you can connect the TT direct to the box, and then box feeds the signal to the comp via USB.
