Welcome to lucid dreaming, I myself sometimes experience this where i know i am dreaming but can also control the enviroment around me/fly and do virtually anything. Theres ways to train your mind to make lucid dreaming occur more frequently but i cant be arsed going into detail about it try looking it up on google.

the thing is, this kind of dream is never lucid for me.
it's got all the characteristics of a lucid dream, the floating/moonwalking and the euphoria but i dont have any control over my actions in the dream. it just plays out. the only time i know im dreaming is after i wake up.

ive had dreams like that.

ever had falling dreams. those suck the worst. i always jump when i hit the ground, i hate it. but this dream was the weirdest ive ever had.

i was walking with a bear, and the bear was my friend. well, we reached like a little lake in the middle of the forest, and his den was on the other side. there was a zig zag bridge of logs, but they were only single file in a line across the lake. the bear hopped easily to the other side. as for me, i was nervous, as i didnt know if i could balance myself right. so as i cross the lake, i get to the middle and hesitate. and the bear on the other side is trying root me on.

but alas! i fell into the lake and begin sinking. as i open my eyes, im sinking deeper and deeper in the lake. but its no ordinary lake. the water was clear and instead of a lake bottom, it was more like a pool, just a bit darker. some 30 feet deep pool, with sides and everything. i start freakin out, im going to drown, but then i take a breathe, a small one. and i got air. then i started breathing under water. it was wicked. then the dream ended right there.

you wont believe that the same thing happened to me last night. I woke up 3 times, and after each time the dream would continue...

some of the things that i saw in my dream were pretty wierd,
like.. i was with my sister, along with her husband and his brother, as well as my other sister, and we got pulled over by cops...

another one was REALLY wierd...

I was in a school, not my normal one, but in a old school type. Our teacher threw a soccer ball at me, and I started to play with it. I played with it until i got to the main hallway where i met 2 of my friends. They yelled "lets go play soccer, we got a ball!" and i was like okay, lemme go and grab my shoes (for some reason my shoes dissappeared) i looked around the whole school for black adidas superstars, but couldnt find them. Woke up and realized i dont have black adidas superstars, but white ones

there is tis other one, but i really dont want to talk about it...

Also, I realised that I actually have emotions and feelings (physical) in a dream. If i touch something, its like I can feel what the texture is. I love it! The worst part is waking up, and forgetting some of the details...

holy shit i had almost that exact dream once.. except without the bear. shit was awesome

well all this talk of lucid dreaming caused me to look deeper into it last night. read about methods to induce and prolong lucid dreaming for about 2 hours.
went to sleep and lo! had a lucid dream!

i was in a car full of some unrecognizable superheroes. some kid comes up to the car and shows me this gold ring he has. its got the same symbol as the captain planet logo. except, he doesnt call it captain planet, he says something lame like association of super people.
then i say "im dreaming."
BOOM hahah all of a sudden I can control shit.
I make the inside light in the car turn on. which is weird because all the stuff i researched last night said that dreams are unable to process changes in light level. well, i guess it was because it was daytime and the effect of the light being on was more like a color change behind the plastic bit instead of actual light emission.
so, we started driving down this road at high speed. i decide to jump out of the car and i start running on the road as fast as the car, and my legs stretch out really long. im taking these huge strides and can feel the wind as i go by.
i start to feel myself wake up, so i practice the spinning technique i learned about last night. i stay dreaming and now am flying pretty fast over the road maybe 20 feet in the air. i can still see people and details, though. i see this girl i work with, she waves to me; i start to wake up again. i tried to spin again, but i couldnt hang on to it and woke up. almost gave myself a heart attack when i did though because i hallucinated a bit and everything in my room seemed wavy and right in front of my face.

dreams are a weird mother ******. I used to have a reoccuring one where Id get into fights with people I disliked (in real life) and everytime Id swing at them everything slowed down and I couldnt connect the punch. it happend in like every dream for about a month. and everytime Id fall or trip in a dream Id wake up shaking for a second and it would pull me out of the dream like I had actually fell. that last one still happens from time to time.

talk about dreaming, i had one last night!!

i was a special forces soldier working inside of the death star from star wars. except, i wore earth uniform and it was black. and the death star was about 2 times bigger than that white dome thing at epcot in disney world. and it was actually a building on the ground, with a parking lot and everything, not a thing out in space.

well, some aliens raid the ship, and take our CEO hostage, and several important people. so, we were going to negociate. the leader of my team and a negociator from the gov't were to go into the command room and establish a line of communication. my job was to stand down the hall way and observe, and provide cover in case something happened. well, our negociating team goes in, and i hear, "we have been sent to free the hostages and find out what you want."

but instead, the alieans reply, "u cannot give us what we want, DIIEEEEE!!!" AND THEY ALL BEGIN FIRING, and kill the negociating team, then they bust out of the room and begin chasing us. i fired my weapon down the hall, to provide cover, then when a couple guys got out, i ran my ass out of there, while being chased and fired at. i finally made it out of the death star, and there were police and by standers everywhere. the police chief then told me, "u have to take back the death star." i told him, "almost everyones been killed, we're outnumbered." he just replied back, "it all depends on you."

so with two other guys, we infiltrate the death star. as we're walking through a corridor, 10 aliens appear at the other side, we killed them all. we enter a room overlooking a huge atrium, with tubes that were slides and stairs. alas, we become surrounded, we must abort the mission. only way out is to jump. but i get petrified at how high we are to jump. the dreams ends with me hanging on to one of the slide tubes trying to figure where i go from there.
