We will be filming in and around Montreal in deference to the fabulous Mutek organization. [http://www.mutek.ca] happens every year in June and is one of the (if not THE) premiere showcase of cutting-edge electronic sounds. We’re especially psyched to see Monolake, Sense Club and Melchior Productions.

The idea here is this is a living, breathing documentary, designed to bring the viewer into the world of electronic music. Not to teach them about it as much as welcome them in. It's a narrative, it's meta, it's a pleasure to watch.
In our research, we've watched all the electronic music documentaries, and, well, they can be pretty brutal. Tilted camera angles, too-dark shots, too many effects and a kind of hitting-you-over-the-head, you-should-like-this mentality that is off-putting right from the get go. Not the case with SiC. This is new and fresh.
The teaser below, along with cuts in progress was scripted and reworked many times by Director-Producer Amy Grill.
Plus, we now have a trailer editor that is helping us remix our teaser, a fellow named Nate DeYoung out of New York City (currently with Kinetic), who also writes for the fabulous Stylus Magazine.
We also have a Producer -- a real clever guy named Jason Redmond is putting us up on our feet. Jason is the executive director of the Boston Independent Film Festival, the most successful film festival in Boston. He knows what works and has given valuable insight and support so far.

No offense to the maker of this doc...or anyone esle, but after watching this trailer I"m not impressed at all...I"m keeping my mind open and will probably go see this Documentary when its finished...but isn't a trailer supposed to intice you??
This topic actually raises some hairs on my spine....I have yet to see a decent documentary on the EDMM scene. I mean is it just me, or is there a serious lack of vision in these people who make the docs..or maybe we just need someone who has the right point of view to make it exceptional. (This has nothing to do with this particular Doc) I'm so sick of people trying and failing at making wikkid documentaries about the EDMM scene, I mean to me, ( I'm untrained in film production/editing etc, I admit) it seems like it wouldn't be hard at all to make a doc. that wouldn't suck...Fuk theres always something missing...not near enough interaction with the people who make the shows (the crowd) and never enough footage of a night at a specific club..just flashes and teases...I mean c'mon fuk I had the idea years a go to make a doc, and was worried when all these docs started coming out that were "depictions" our the EDMM scene...Well I"m not worried anymore cuz still to this date no one has put their finger on it...Fuk it seems that these docs that have come out are jokes...not accurate at all to the feeling, the vibe, the heart, of the scene...It just makes fakin pissed...like no one really knows or gives a shit...
