OK everyone, it's polling time to find out what 2005's tune of the year was.
There will be three rounds of voting, commencing with this one. This round will consist of four 8-track groups. For fairness sake I shuffled the tracks using a tournament style placing system: 1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15, etc. I also placed 1st half odd ranked tunes and 2nd half even ranked tuned in Groups A and B and 1st half even with 2nd half odd ranked tunes in Groups C and D for more of a randomizing effect.
Group A
01 Perasma - Swing 2 Harmony
16 Jose Amensia vs. Serp - Second Day
08 Marco V - False Light
09 Jonas Steur - Castamara
05 Above & Beyond vs. Andy Moor - Air For Life
12 The Drill - The Drill
04 Marcel Woods - Advanced
13 Andy Moor - Halcyon
Group B
06 Mike Foyle vs. Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk
11 Interstate - I Found U
03 Purple Haze - Adrenaline
14 Royksopp - What Else Is There?
07 Gabriel & Dresden - Arcadia
10 Mark Otten - So Serene
02 Pryda - Aftermath
15 Synergy - Hello Strings
Group C
01 Dogzilla - Without You
16 Whiteroom feat. Amy Cooper - Someday
08 Phynn - Lucid
09 Armin van Buuren feat. Gabriel & Dresden - Zocalo
05 Bart Claessen - Playmo (1st Play)
12 Tilt - Twelve
04 Deep Dish - Say Hello
13 Mr. Sam - Lyteo
Group D
06 Luminary - My World
11 Kosmas Epsilon - Innocent Thoughts
03 Kuffdam & Plant - Summerdream
14 The Killers - Mr. Brightside (Jaques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Dub Mix)
07 Markus Schulz & Departure with Gabriel & Dresden - Without You Near
10 Ava Mea - In The End
02 Jonas Steur - Silent Wave
15 Smith & Pledger - Northern Lights
Now, please select your favorite tune from each group. The top 4 tunes from each group will advance to the second round.
Round 1 polling will last 10 days and end on January the 13th.

heh, i really like the deserves an effort dub of swing2harmony, the martin roth mix of second day and the alex morph mix of halycon. but seeing as no remix names are mentioned and i despise the originals of all three, i guess it's gonna have to be advanced

These names do not denote them as just being the original. If you liked the remix of a particular song, then vote for that artist and song.

Is there any chance of hearing a sample of marcel woods - advanced? or jose amenisa - second day, I can't in good concience vote for a TOTY without having heard all of the options. Neither is on Audiojelly or Beatport.
