Our latest tune, care to listen?

Well we're currently making our second album and I thought I'd give you guys and ladies a taste. The tune in question is called LoneStar it samples the legendary game by Hideo Kojima "Snatcher" and memorable movies including Ninja Scroll. Well here it is ---> http://s49.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=...EL3PR6M1X94OAU6

Let us know what you think eh?

Okay, heres my review:

0:00 - 0:20
The padded intro does not go with the track at all, I firmly believe it should be dropped.

0:20 - 0:55
Drop those stabs. The kick sounds weak. Be creative youve used a loop for the percussion. theres nothing else.

0:55 - 1:58
another loop which is badly looped. The loops cut in half way through bars, a beat early etc. The vocal samples are over used and that techno loop that cuts in after the geeza says breakdown ruins the flow. The bassline is cool though.

1:59 - 3:26
No flow, no form, no shape. Its just a random loop a thon. the synth part goes in and out of time. the crash loop doesnt fit.

3:26 - 3:35
Sorry but this uneeded section ruins the flow of this already flow lacking piece. The timpani roll made me cringe.

3:36 - 5:10
Same as the other sections. A big looped mess. You have ovredone it with the vocal samples.

Overall:
This tune is poor. No arrangement, flow, groove or anything. I dont know how long you have been doing this, if you are new to making your own music i suggest going here: http://www.computermusic.co.uk

Would you mind returning the favour and giving my latest track a review? it would be greatly appreciated as i also struggle to get many reviews even though i review others

Right, some honest feedback for you...

Is this made as a comedy track? Because its hilarious (for the wrong reasons). You need to learn what structure is with music, this I'm afraid has none whatsoever. The loops sound very tacky, at least make them sound as if theyre your own. The vocal sampling is beyond extreme and they all sound as though theyve come off a playstation game. You claimed in another thread other peoples tracks to be crap or whatever, well words escape me for this. I have not heard anything in this league in all the tracks I have reviewed here.

The whole track has somewhat of a chav vibe to it also, not really the best thing to achieve musically.

@DJ Balti I would be hurt but I know this tune is good others not on here have said so, so I guess it's just your musical opinion and taste choice as oppose to bad music. And as for this being really and worse than others I really don't see how. I've seen other reviews by you giving really really bad tunes the thumbs up so ain't bothered! And I suspect your only having a pop coz I insulted you in the other thread so no harm done. One more thing a very well known DJ who has produced tunes for Ministry Of Sound said he liked most of our stuff so that goes to prove it's a question of taste! One more thing you mentioned something about loops, all the sounds you hear in LoneStar except for the voice samples are made by us no loops, geez what is it with you people. You claim I use music 2000 then ejay and now we use loops and you wondetr why you get a snappy response?!

@JakeC thanks for the feedback I'm sorry you didn't like it much! I'm not to bothered lots of other people liked it, so I guess I had to have people saying they didn't like it too. Gotta take the good with the bad! I will indeed review your track.

Fine, be ignorant then.

This has nothing to do with the other thread so forget that idea. Ministry Of Sound, hmm taste indeed.

I wasn't haven't a pop at you all I was saying it was your opinion that it was bad! I would agree if everyone said it was aweful but the only people to think it's bad are on this forum. All my friends who gave my honest feedback said they liked it. One that pissed my off was you saying that I'm using loops when I worked hard to make my own!
