This occurred on the drive home from DC yesterday, just north of Sellinsgrove, PA at 1:30pm, during a sudden snow squall.

Red pickup truck (heading uphill) lost control (dont ask me how) and crossed median into downhill traffic's path, smashed into minivan, therefor creating a 'wall' in front of my car, with no room or traction to stop. Managed to crash into it sideways rather than straight on (to my fortune), crossed the median & 2 lanes up uphill traffic, barely missed getting hit again by uphill traffic, finally hit the guard rail and stopped. Whole right side of car is crushed, front passenger window and side view mirror is smashed out, and damage to drivers side headlight area. At least I was lucky enough to be able to drive it home. Those other cars are good for the junkyard.

Didn't get home til 5 mins b4 midnight. Wasn't in much of a party mood.

OK u insurance adjusters.... need your advice.

Well thank GOD you guys weren't severaly hurt but that looks like at least $2000 damage

not happy about the accident but happy about you back home safe and sound. car can be replaced you cant . from the crazy driver in DC to this. i wouldnt ask ya how was your trip.

i had a crazy accident too ,i wish i still had the photo ,i could post,but mine was even worse,,my 03 car gut ride off and went straight to junkyard!

But Don't worry you weren't the only one staying home,,,i stayed home too,cause of shity reasons..

More like $5000 damage. I had a car crash into me years ago only damaging 1 door, and it was $4000. This one has damage to 2 doors and the other car panels. Probably worth more than the car itself.

ive never seen a cool accident before. i always see the aftermath.. not a bad thing but shit id love to see a car go airbourne on the 427. i only hear abt those things


btw tatgirl that SUX. id saythat be close to 4 g's worth of damage maybe 5

Ya, for real. Looks like I was MEANT to be in a car accident this week. Missed a worse one last Monday (where I woulda been t-boned and likely killed or seriously injured), but it caught up to me Saturday. Did I also mention I was mauled by my friend's dog on X-mas day for trying to take a bone away from him? Oh, and my car's windshield wipers crapped out while I was there, which resulted in a trip to a mechanic & a $300 bill. Ya, the trip to DC this year was plagued with lotsa bad luck.

oh well its over hun. new year now time to put it behind ya and move on. again i am very happy that through all of this you are safe by the way my brothers mechanic in brampton is a good fella. does good work and his prices are very reasonable. if you would like i be happy to give you his contact info and stuff or perhaps go along with ya if ya like

I am glad you are okay......Tylers right...if you want any advice just PM me or Moral Hazard.

Just from what I've seen so far it appears that pick up truck driver will be considered at fault for the accident. If you have collision coverage on your own vehicle then you should report it to your insurance company. If you don't have collision coverage then you will have to deal with the adjuster for the at fault driver. Make sure you get a copy of the police report and confirm if anyone was charged. I am not completely sure of the Insurance Regulations in PA but I am pretty sure it is straight tort regulations.

If you or any passengers were hurt in the accident then make sure you tell your insurance company. There are good benefits available to you through your auto insurance policy

Good thing, cuz I don't have collision coverage on my car, since i'm stupidly considered a 'high risk' driver and already on Kingsway insurance at super-high rates. Had to leave it off to keep the rates down. Will definitely be calling his company tomorrow. I want a rental car, damnit!
