Best cart & styli for ripping my vinyl to hard drive

Got the std 500al's on the techs at the moment but obviously they are just for day to day stuff.

What would you recommend for ripping vinyl to my hard drive?

Setup as is currently:

Tech SL1210mk2
Stanton H4 shells
Pioneer DJM707 mixer
Cambridge Audio interconnects to
M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card

Thanks,

Rikki

I think you should try a 'elliptical' (I don't know if this is the correct term in English..) needle, as opposed to a 'spherical' shaped one.

Maybe Ortofon Concorde Nightclub E?

whitelabels tend to sound pretty good.

There's no hard and fast rule here, just make sure you use quality and you should be fine.

Shure or Ortofons should give a good result.

Cheers

i love my ortofons and even though they are spherical they are great for recording. im in the process of converting all my vinyl to digital for use with serato. if you are looking for a recording needle ONLY and not something to spin with you might wanna look at these

Shure V15VxMR
Shure M97xE

these are both "audiophile" quality carts and should give you great sound for recording.

Stanton FS 890II. It is made for ripping - use the spherical head.
