[progressive trance] Takkra - Flat & Simple [ full track 192kb/s d: 6:26 ]

I tried to make a nice groovy progtrance track, with not a shitload of synths, but only with minimal stuff going on still creating a full feel .. I think it worked out quite well.
ps everything you hear I made myself; ranging from synths till percs (stole 2 oneshots from fruity but I made the rest with my own hands muwhaha)

tell me what you think about this one

[ click ]

thanks in advance

muhaha, a psytrancer making prog... doom .

well it actually reminds of psytrance. and the vocals is kinda? bad? .

the kick drum is a tad to low for techno.. and your drums is to high almost taking over the kickdrums place.

the bass line is to psy trance for techno and your lead reminds me of psytrance.. dude this is psy techno, just turn the kickdrum up a bit.

teh feeling in "the music" isnt there.. you know when you here good music you just want to dance, that feeling isnt here and it kind of ruins it... keep working i feel potential.

Drums don't really fit, the vocals are kind of too abstract to go anywhere.

It seems a little empty and lacking stereo range. I like the synth stab sound.

Keep practicing, and thanks for sharing.

Hey man,

First off the vocal sounds quite nice with everything else I feel so i'm a fan of the vocal. In the first and last parts of the track the drums although they work fine, they sound a little too hectic for my liking, but that may be the desired effect.

Couple of very nice synths in there, definately liking them. To me also the structure would be a little different in my eyes. It sounds very well eq'd to me also, which is something you've been learning well I see.

Cool track, the synths make this one for me. Keep it up mate.

BUMP!

hey i quite like the vocals mate. and the overall sound. the crash every four beats could do with a nice bit of reverb or somethin? add a metalizer effect to it! that will add to the track i recon.

its got the takkra sound and no mistake i like the rave style to the track. sounds remind me of the tempest 2000 soundtrack from the atari jaguar..

id probably make the tracks main part sound like the 1;10 part with the vocal used more prominantly (and some of the percs from around the 4;25 mark) build the track up to that point maybe?

then use your wicked rave sound during the breakdown(like @3;00) and minimally during the part after the break. then it will sound a lot better arranged imo.

just a few of my honest preferences mate

very original as per usual mate and keep it up.

thanks for bumping me. i meant to check it but forgot it was here. i been away from my lovely pc where i canm listen to all these nice tracks

keep an eye out for my next. im gonna try and make my next more of a hard affair

rich

Hi there

- Vocals - as for me: great. Quite original, not too often that kind of sound appears in trance

- Intro - that sound is really weird... sounds... how to put it? "Artificial"?

- Drums - the best element of this tune! Once again, really original

- Very cool sample beginning at 1:17

- The main (loudest) synth beginnig from 1:47 - I think the track would be much better without it

- From 3:00 to 5:50 - very nice, the best fragment. But once again, that synth doesn't suits there, I think

To sum up:

-Really good tune
-Changing the intro and the synth would make it better

Good job Takkra

See ya
