I'm new to ableton, its a pretty hardcore program. go ahead and call me a noob and a loser and make fun of me, but what i lack in ableton i dominate in photoshop so yeah haha.
I've gone thru the DJ'ing tutorials and still im having problems beat matching and getting basic transitions between tracks. shit i cant even get my tracks to play one after the other.
any WILLING help or tips for a mega NOOB would be greatly appreciated!
thanks in advance

I get about 5 pm's a week from people asking me how to mix in ableton.
If my dumbass can figure it out then you guys can too!

I have been messing around with the demo the last couple weeks and have had problems with beatmatching and throwing songs on time. Its weird, all the beats get mapped out perfectly and the exact bpm gets detected, but for some reason they do not play in sync. Is there more that needs to be done to the tracks besides letting Live auto warp them? I know sometimes you have to adjust the first beat, not sure what else needs to be done.

Haven't you guys been through the included tutorials that come with the demo? They even have ones that focus on DJ'ing.

does the lack of being able to save hinder the full warping process?
Well yeah...can you not save your warp markers in the demo?
Ableton Auto-warp = NEVER USE.
It never works well unless the sample is like 30 seconds or less...even then...I dont like to rely on it.
Also, if tracks are not launching correctly, check that the quantization is on GLOBAL...this way Live will know to count in using the overall tempo. Also, make sure launch mode is Trigger, with Legato on.
