East TA'z vs. West TA'z...
does anyone else here feel that this board and this city is somewhat split into EAST and WEST ?? and Yonge St. being the great divider of it all ??
TA's in the west seem to know more of the TA's around them and same goes for the East.. only makes sense since that's their region and they live closer to one another. But i mean it goes farther than that, i've never been to a TA meetup out in the West end before. The task of trying to commute out that far or TTC'ing is just too much sometimes..
And what's with all the recent TA parties going down in the West too like the appartment one and the bonfire ? I get the feeling that there are a lot more TA's here from out west than east. Most of you always post about Mississauga or Etobicoke, etc..
I noticed this the most during the TA dinner meetup a couple of weeks ago.. many of the TA's that drove up from the West had never been to the restaurant we went too which has been around for quite a while and quite a popular spot in TO. Itz almost as if travelling to the other side of this city from where you live is like venturing into foreign territory. Hell even the street names can't be the same ! We've got "York Mills Rd." you guys have it as "Wilson Ave." We have "danforth ave." you guys gotta have it "Bloor West".. We've got Kennedy Rd. running north-south in Scar-Markham .. you guys gotta have ur Kennedy Rd. running north-south in Brampton-Mississauga..
haha so yea man .. just ask urself this whether or not u live in the East or West.. how familiar are you with the roads in that part of town? do you know the type of people that live in those areas? if not that just goes to show how this city is divided into two halves..
ah wells .. atleast we all have downtown and Guv to congregate at ;]
hehe..
