Having come from humble beginnings as promoter/DJs in Atlanta, GA, Sami Nassar and Jeff Corey of High Mix are no strangers to the dance scene. It all started for the duo in early 2002; they threw their own parties to support their DJ habit. Over the course of the next few years, the High Mix name became synonymous with outstanding parties and killer DJ sets as they shared the stage with such greats as The Crystal Method, Felix Da Housecat, Evil 9, Richard “Humpty” Vission and David Garcia. As promoters and DJs, they knew how to pull a crowd, but they were determined to take their career to the next level. With a love for music and a passion for success, Sami and Jeff entered the studio in mid 2004 and gained notoriety in early 2005 for their bootleg of Nine Inch Nails’ “Hand That Feeds.” Several original tracks later, High Mix landed their first commercial release on SR2 in late 2005 with a remix of Dean Coleman’s “Hypnotic,” featuring IMEAN. With their talent and love of music, High Mix is here to make a mark on the dance community. Look for future remixes and original productions in 2006.
