Hi everyone! Please excuse my english but my Swedish is a little rusty.
I wanted to know if anyone there would be interested in having a DJ from Florida come and spin or knows any promoters who might be interested. Mixes are available if requested. There would be no fee, I would just like the opportunity to play in Sweden whether it is in Stockholm, Gothenburg or wherever. If somebody could point me in the right direction as far people I would need to contact that would greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Craig

The EDM scene in Sweden is rather small you see. We are having a hard time getting gigs around here ourselves. No offence but nobody gives a jack about you (or anybody else), even less the promoters, unless you have a well recognized name...

Well I for one have certanly never heard of you. When I refered to "known name" I was talking world wide, not locally. I do also have a pretty well known name here at Campus
Do not forget that we do have some of the worlds greatest producers slash DJ's. In a country as small as ours not even a handfull of them fit into the schedules of the embarrassingly small amount of clubs we have...

Thats true, for a European/Scandinavian country- Stockholm and Gothenburg have very few clubs. Whats up with that? Is the King against clubs there?

I understand you are interested in coming over here in Europe to play but as Laszlo said... it's kinda hard when you don't have a worldwide known name...
Here in Sweden less worldwide Swedish DJs even don't get much spinnin time... Sad but true.
Would be really fun though to bring DJ's from the states...
The only known from Florida I know of (I think ) is Markus Schulz...
And if the King ruled Sweden I belive he would allow more parties but as it is now we struggle againt the authorities who belive pretty much we are just some drugaddict hippies... sorta.
Btw. if you come over is it so that you also want to get paid for both the dj-set and the flight ticket ? Otherwise I know a party which you might get to play at which is one of the best in Sweden, held a couple of times every year....

I understand how it is. But just to clarify; Markus just lives here, he's not from here. He and his wife. If anyone would be interetsed in coming over here let me know. We're always interested in bringing in new talent from Europe. I would not mind taking the princess out once or twice to a club. Whats her name? Madeleine?

Well, generally (with a capital G) people over here are so god damn narrow minded. Or should I say brainwashed? MTV, ZTV (TV channel for youths) and the popular radio stations are more or less dictating what should and is being played out in clubs in Sweden. It's all about 50 Cent, Black Eyed Peas, Sugababes and garbage like that. People are afraid to explore other paths in music - if something in a club is being played that they haven't heard before at least a billion times on MTV they just won't dance to it. It's pathetic. And the that EDM is being played on MTV is as good as non existant...
