I've used the dictionary and some translation websites but this is confusing me.

To english:

Esa obra(work?) era un escandalo(scam?) porque la confusion y la maravilla son operaciones propias de Dios y no de los hombres. Con el andar del tiempo vino a su corte un rey de los arabes, y el rey de BAbilonia(para hacer burla de la simplicidad de su huesped)

ok.. so I'm getting: This work was a scam? because the marvelled confusion were operations of God, not the men.

With time came a cut? err lol an Arab king y the Babilonian king (made (burla?) simply (huesped?!) I'm not finding burla or huesped (accent over first "e") anywhere.

It's for a Lit class... hah it probably doesn't make sense because it's a paragraph in the middle of the story "Los dos reyes y los dos laberintos" ... sorta like Aesop's fables for the minority dishwashers. so interesting, yes?

That work?/deed? was scandalous because confusion/?mysticism? and marvelousness are both proper operations of God and not of men. As time went by a king of the Arabs came to his court, and the king of Babylon (to make fun of the simplicity of his host).
