Sigur Ros.. what else?

So I'm really into Sigur Ros these days, why was I not informed of them earlier! They're totally awsome!

So who else is into them and what can you recommend.
Guys I like similar to them are
The Album Leaf
M83
Mogwai
and mum
and i'm also deeply into ulrich, roysopp, arovane etc, though they aren't necessarily post-rockish.

but who else? I'm not really looking for that stuck up indie rock band with a typical lead vocalist. I'm more into the instrumental sides. Only vocals I like are the foreign stuff. What other good postrock/downtempo/idm artists can you recommend that have awsome atmospheres and nostalgic climaxes!

first of all, if you want the more rockier stuff (shoegazer) i think you should check out two bands that influenced some of these acts in your list, that would be My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive.

otherwise.. uhm perhaps you might like stuff from
Explosions In The Sky

Four Tet
Boom Bip
Christian Kleine (his solo work is a bit more what you seek than when he's with Thaddi as Herrmann & Kleine, though i definitely recommend their stuff as well.)

some personal hightlights from the Merck label that i think might fit you would be

Helios - Unomia
Tiki Obmar - Seasons
Proem - Socially Inept

also this might be something you're looking for, 'easylistened' ambient
Peter Benisch - Soundtrack Saga

a few resonably similar artists off the top of my head :

Amon Tobin
Lamb
Telefon Tel Aviv
Banco De Gaia
Broken Social Scene
Engineers
Ishq
Ivy (atleast to some extent)
Sylken

and a couple of british bands that are well worth a try if you havent already heard them are :

Snow Patrol
Bloc Party

Yea, great band...I remember when they had a contest for fans to decipher the lyrics from Njosnavelin and the responses that some people came up with were unheard of!

Sigur Ros is the type of band I wish existed more often. Unfortunately there are just too many emo and rap fans out there

God Is An Astronaut Brilliant instrumental Indie/Electronica/Post rock band whose music is extremely melodic and atmospheric. They sound lots like M83, Mogwai and Sigur Ros. If you like M83 then you'll love GIAA.

Check the music section for videos and stuff.

Manual The closest artist you'll get to Ulrich Schnauss's sound imo, Manual's synth/guitar sounds are every bit as excellent. Basically gorgeous instrumental tunage. Lots of stuff to listen to on the website and also on bleep.com

65 Days Of Static Really cool instrumenal act, they sound like Mogwai, except with electronica beats and stuff.
