Western Australia is typically seen as a backwards country by Eastern Australians (And generally, the rest of the world minus bush apologists). To illustrate this point, recently there was a vote on whether or not stores should be allowed to stay open past a certain time (don't remember the exact time, but most places close at 17.00). There was also a vote on letting stores open on Sundays. Both were soundly rejected, I believe with an 80%+ vote.

So really, this comes as no surprise.

You have to appreciate the grave threat which these kind of fabrics pose to the moral fiber of the Australian youth.
