Its often this kind of elitism I keep seeing. Its kind of sad really, why can't I enjoy "commercial" trance? I enjoy all kinds of music, and I truly mean all kinds... Yet somehow if I enjoy something commercial I have bad taste??
Everybody has different tastes, we all need to appreciate and respect each others own unique views... Music is afterall a passion and something very personal... So everybody is different and thus we have very diverse views on music...
I just bothers me when I say something like "I like this track" and I hear someone litterally get upset over that fact, like the typical "WHAT, how can you like this shit, are you a moron?" We've all heard this before and its quite insulting since our own personal music taste is very much about our life experience and yourself.
I guess what I'm trying to say is just chill out, getting upset at Rank 1, or Darude, etc... Is a waste of time, if you don't like it fine, but don't push your tastes on others just because you don't like a certain track/artist.
Cheers,
Thor..

I agree with Thor on this one: so-called "commercial" trance amy not be all that fantastic or even very original, but a lot of it isnt too bad. Granted, more underground stuff is much better, but, ATB was good (the two worlds CD pisssed me off) Alice DeeJay has some good stuff (mostly the remixes, but hey...) and damnit, Rank 1 - Airwave is really good (especially the ATB mix), but you know, to each his own.
