Entry level mixer (Digital mixing)

I'm looking into a mixer just for home use to hook up to my computer to do only digital mixing, nothing involving any other hardware. I'm on a really tight budget, but I was looking at:

Numark DM1002MkII

or should I step up and look at the Numark DXM06 or is there not really any need for that for my DJ-ing circumstances.

Basically I wannna run laptop, mixer, headphones, the end.

Thanks in advance!

if you can afford it the dxm06 is the better option, the dm1002 will do you fine for what you need

but the dxm06 will offer more flexability and the effects are pretty good too

Can you or anyone suggest any alternatives in that range? Cause I didn't find much other than a few Numark products...

DM1002MkII
DXM03
DXM06

Anything else?

I'm also a TOTAL newbie to technical DJing... I've just played around in Acid PRO before mixing and fading songs...

The numark DXMs are really your best bet. They're excellent mixers for the price and even if you were to graduate from your computer mixing, you could use them with up to 4 sources.
The newest DXM09 has 3 channels and rocks teh soxorz
The recent Denon DNX-100 is also a shweetass 2-channel mixer for anything you might need and well built too.
