Just trying to get a good idea of what other people use.
I'm currently using Nero Ultra 7 and I hate it. After wasting almost 20 cd-r's due to an encoding bug that shipped w/ nero 7 (which burns skips into cds made from mp3's), I still notice problems. One of the most annoying for me is that it seems to cut out the first beat of nearly every track, so they start on the 2nd beat in the bar. I'm not sure why it does this or how to prevent it, other than going through and inserting a few seconds of silence into the beggining of every track I have which would be a major pain in the ass.
So what do you guys use? Any good programs out there? (preferably cheap or free )
I tried to install nero 6 on my new computer but it wont let me. It just keeps saying "this version is too old, please goto our website and get the latest version."

Windows Media Player. Right click on track file > Add to burn list. Done.

does anyone happend to know...if you normalize the tracks (the "normalize" option in Nero) does it distort the sound of the track, or is it better to normalize the volumes on the PC than on an analog mixer using gains?
