Would people actually consider this a remix or is its own song? Listening to it, it contains nothing of the vengaboys whatsoever so how is this even considered a remix. To me it's a brand new song.

Hmmm good question ... but there are lots of remixes out there that sound sod all like the original if you ask me ... I think as long as it's got elements of the original song in there somewhere (albeit they have been totally warped, timestretched and generally pissed about with beyond all recognition) then it's entitled to be called a remix?

the question was if u could call it a remix, if it doesn´t sound like the original. I played it to a friend of mine and he also didn´t recognised that it should be a remix from "kiss". Hmmm... but when it´s labled as a remix it is one

Good question. There are other examples as well, such as:

Vengaboys - Cheekah Bow Bow (Transa Remix)
Vengaboys - Paradise (Dumonde Remix)
Vengaboys - Uncle John From Jamaica (M.I.K.E. Remix)

All gr8 tunes with nothing at all in common with the horrible originals.
