I’m gonna try to keep this as brief as possible. So here is the deal,

My buddies and I have been pretty excited about meeting up at Decadence in April because some of us haven’t seen each other in ages; so we figure might as well meet up at what’s sure to be hell of a party. Anyway, about a week ago...I find out one of my friends (who has a medical condition; which I won’t get into right now...) is going to be in the hospital that week. Long story short, I already bought my ticket but everyone else is saying out of respect for my friend in the hospital they won’t attend. To be fair me and him are probably the only two of out the bunch that actually know the DJ’s and love EDM ( this would be my first time seeing AvB as well ) – the others are just there for a good party.

So my question is...should I attend regardless? Or sit out?

I’ve asked a lot of friends but they only give me the predicable answer – "don’t go"...but in all fairness most don’t even care about EDM or who’s coming, so that’s why I’m asking you guys.

I would go...and party it up for the both of you. As long as he is in your thoughts while you are here
I'm sure he would want you to be there, and if you were in the hospital you would want him doing the same, enjoying the party!

If you think it would offend your friend or he would be hurt by it then i would sit it out-- especially if everyone is going to go hang out w/ him on that day and you don't show up..but if your friend is anything like me, if I was sick and my favorite DJ was in town, I would want my friends to go.

Depends how serious the condition is. If he needs you at the hospital, then don't go. But if he is recovering fine, then go by all means. I would suggest talking it out with him. If you guys are close, I am sure there is no problem being upfront and honest.

You are true EDM head - Decadence is a GREAT experience you'd not want to miss. (I cannot in any way shape or form see hwo you going is disrespecting your friend... the idea that it would be disrespectful is to me.)

I bet he wants you to go out. He's not going to get all hissy about you having a fun night. No reason for you to give up something that you really want because you friend is unable to attend.

I don't think it would be wrong if you went to Decadence...
First of all... visiting hours end at some point... and its not like you would be able to be by your friends side all night long...
my suggestion is make it a point to see your friend in the hospital the day of Decadence... take er easy over the course of the night.. get home and get some rest the next morning and then go see your friend again in the late afternoon/early evening...i'm sure he would want you to go and also once you ge there you can tell him ALL about the party!

I hope your friend is better soon!

yeah, but there's always more parties, i'm not saying for him not to go, but it's not really that big of a deal to miss a good or big party, you can't hit them all.
