Dancing Dude ELEMENT OC.... TURNS 1-YEAR OLD!!!! Flashbacks to Last Year (THANK YOU TA's)

Feb 11th, ELEMENT OC turned ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

***PICTURES BELOW****

Wow, it seems like it was only yesterday when I approached Bas & several others to help me out with Element in Orange County. But in fact, it's been a little bit over a year since our opening night that one rainy February night of 2005. What started in OC has traveled across Southern California making guest nights in Los Angeles, OC, and San Diego.

Element has been full of surprises and learning experiences. In fact, I can think of my Top 3 Experiences at Element.

1. - ELEMENT TAKES OVER SPUNDAE... In Sept 17, 2005, Element & Sweetcandy Girl took over Spundae's loft making it the biggest crowd the Spundae Loft had ever seen. This was an extra special Element as it was my birthday as well. Tons of people showed up including Super Star singer RACHAEL STARR who performed her #1 Hit 'Till There Was You as a special birthday present. People from all over the country and Mexico traveled for this special night. I remember meeting this guy who told me he flew from Washington DC just for this night. Several fans of mine showed up all the way from MEXICO and to make the night even more special, Sweetcandy Girl brought me this huge Candy cake, and someone (no names need to be mentioned) gave us a bottle of champagne! This was by far the best ELEMENT to date, and off course, it wouldn't been possible without everyone's support and help, specially from one of my best friends... MICHELLE!

2. - DRUNKEN DJ PASSES OUT ON THE HALLWAY... Yeap! During the opening night my headliner passed out in the hotel hallway minutes before his set. Luckily his other half was there, and saved the night.

3. - RACHAEL STARR @ ELEMENT... After a month of chaos, and a constant switch of promoters, we weren't sure if we were going to pull this one off. Fortunately, we did and this was one of our most successful nights. Rachael brought down the house with a funky house set. Awesome night.

Off course, all of these events can't be possible without everyone's support. Many people have helped us and supported us this past year. It's nearly impossible to mention everyone. You know who you are. THANK YOU. However, these people need extra recognition for all their hard work month after month... XTRACKTOR! You're my right hand man! Thank You! Clovis!!! Thanks for all those great shots. Thank you Bas, Mike, Nicole & Brian, Dr X, Nami, and off course MICHELLE!

And last but not least, I can't forget about all the DJs that spun on the soon to be famous ELEMENT DECKS.

RACHAEL STARR (POSITIVA RECORDS)
KAZELL
AUSTIN SCOTT
BRETT KING
JOSH COLLINS
LENNY V
CHRIS EWEN
DJ MAJIK
DR X
BAS
ATOMIC MIKE
OLIVER TWIST
EDWIN DIAZ
ANTONIO LUNA (MEXICO)
RAFAEL CALIZ
DJ XCITE (SAN DIEGO)

The Sandbox. It's really small, about 100 people capacity. We never charged to get in, always did it for free.

BTW, contraty to poular belief, ELEMENT never had musical boundries. We have an open policy where we tell the DJs to be them selves and play their favorite style of music. I think Austin Scott and I were the only ones that played trance and I only played it twice. Everyone else played really different than what they normally play. Element is where I began play house again.
