ive got a question to the people who make theyr own Closed hats and Open Hats, do you make your closed hats from the open hats or do you just use seperate open hats and closed hats?
i mean if you design your own hats do you make one sound and then process it so that u make closed hats and open hats from, or do you just use samples?

I use all real hi-hat instrument samples, closed and open hat being just if the hi-hat was closed or open, and then filter from there....

As for actually synthesizing hats, I dont know much but...a open hat is more of a crash than a hat sound, so I would think just expended and higher pitched.
