This is a very good mix. I've been listening to this mix more often than to Somnolent. The last two tracks in this mix have great vocals. Destroy Everything You Touch, the original verison, is simply an amazing song. And this Remix by Tom Neville is quite good, not as good as the original but good nonetheless.
I really liked the first part of the mix, really nice tracks in that part. Like you said, "The first 30-40 min is chill, driving, elegant progressive." That's the type of music I'm looking out for more lately. As for the latter part of the mix, excluding the last two vocal tracks, it was a nice group of tracks but not of my liking. Perhaps I was so happy with the first part that I was a bit disappointed when the style changed since I was hoping it would remain constant.
Overall, the flow is quite nice. Yet again you provide a quality set that captures the attention of the listener. You ended the set with two good tracks, as if leaving the listener wanting more. Good stuff.
I'll comment on the other mix soon. Thanks for the share. |
nice mate thanks. glad i could hit you at the right time with the first set of tunes. i totally understand how you could be dissapointed with the style change, it's a weird thing to do with a mix and almost impossible to do well. although i thought it was done well, i'm a bit biased. i would really like to hear some more comments on this one because i guess i would like to know if anyone else can appreciate a style transition like this or is this something that really should never be attempted.
yes the last two vocal tracks are such tasty tunes but i dont think they would have worked without the transition into the more tech house world.
anyway, once again thanks a ton for the great feedback ierxium (whoops i mean sensorium ). always great to hear from you.
