Is Cygnus X' album worth getting?

Hypermetrical?

Is it all killers like Superstring and the title track?

EDIT: Gah, Superstring isn't on it. Nevermind the question.

Kinderlied part 1: nice intro
Kinderlied part 2: good trance
Hypermetrical: decent trance
Deliberation: average trance
Turn Around: decent trance
Synchronism: good trance
The Orange Theme (remix): bad bad trance
Indakasa: decent ambient breakbeats

overall i'd say it's worth it for anyone who likes the early-90's sound of Trance. though it could be better.

i like the album, it's a good mix of tracks in a good order, kinderlied 1&2 is interesting because of the stark contrast from the first part into the second where it starts off with a rough breakbeat and then goes into the second part with a harder germantrance. hypermetrical is a fast ,banging track. delibiration is a lengthy one with nice acid. turn around is the only one i don't like that much because that somewhat cheerful lead doesn't fit with the bass. synchronism is a good track, bit on the laidback track but with good acidwork. the album remix of the orange theme is actually imo better than the original, because it expands more then the original. and indakasa is to me the best track i heard from ac boutsen. soothing trancy breaks with a very chicane-ish feel. i like the minute before the break where the he laced in an acidline to contrast the general feel to make it more fuller.

some of these are dated in a certain aspect, but some tracks has aged well and you might aswell pop them in now and not think that it is 11 years old

It was a pretty good album back in the days... ofcourse it sounds a bit dated now but I still rather listen to tracks like Synchronism than most of the ASOT gash. Never liked the album remix of Orange Theme though...

Anyway, if I was about to buy some older Eye Q material, I'd buy one of those Behind The Eye comps... for example, Behind The Eye Vol. 2 has both The Orange Theme and Superstring.

I thought that was one of the strongest pieces.
