-Grammy-Award winner Ali 'DUBFIRE' Shirazinia has been making music since the age of 16 in the Washington, DC area with numerous collaborators, most notably electronica artist/composer Brian 'BT' Transeau, a childhood friend. Following a chance meeting with Sharam Tayebi in 1991, Deep Dish was formed and after a string of productions, remixes and mix-compilations, the duo released their first artist album, Junk Science [1998], on BMG to rave reviews. After 7 years of further remix and mix-compilation work, Deep Dish released their sophomore effort, George is On [2005], to far greater fanfare and acclaim resulting in the UK top 10 hit, "Flashdance", which became the highest commercial chart position ever earned by the duo. Aside from a prolific producing career, Dubfire has been at the forefront of the DJ arena with gigs that have spanned the entire globe and most recently culminated in a number 8 ranking of the World's Top 100 DJ's poll for Deep Dish in UK-magazine DJ.
