I was just wondering if there are any Timo Maas fans here. I just want to say I LOVE his stuff. I'm just totally in love with his dark housey style. Tunes like:
Der Shieber
Supertransonic
the techno
Riding the Storm
completely blows me away. Can anyone reccomend more tunes like these? especially like Der Shieber. That tune kicks serious ass!!! Please recommend other tracks with this style that I may enjoy. Thanx.

I'll be honest, I never really admired his stuff at all. I never gave it a chance, mostly becuse when I first heard his stuff I wasn't into that type of "dark trancy house". I will try listining again, since I believe my tastes have matured a bit.

I likes me some Timo Maas. The man plays a great live set (seen him do it twice), he throws together kick-ass mix CDs (such as Connected), and produces fresh-sounding tracks at a fast rate (best recent one is "Maas Attacks").
Here's some more quality tunes for ya...
Azzido da Bass - Dooms Night (Timo Maas Remix) <-- CLASSIC, MICHELIN COMMERCIAL WITH BABY HULA-HOOPING
BT - Never Gonna Come Back Down (Timo Maas Remix)
Dave Aude - Push That Thing (Timo Maas Remix)
Fatboy Slim - Star 69 (Timo Maas Remix)
Green Velvet - Flash (Timo Maas Dirty Dub)
Jan Driver - Drive By (Timo Maas Remix) <-- KICK ASS
Lustral - Everytime (Timo Maas Vocal Dub)
Orinoko - Mama Konda (Timo Maas Mix)
Orinoko - Villa Nova (Timo Maas Remix)
Pascal FEOS - Are U Tranqualized (Timo Maas Remix)
Pascal FEOS - Overflow (Timo Maas Remix)
Placebo - Special K (Timo Maas Remix)
Southside Spinners - Luvstruck (Timo Maas Remix)
Timo Maas - City Borealis <-- BEAUTIFUL
Timo Maas - Killin' Me (Jan Driver Remix)
Timo Maas - Maas Attacks <-- SCOOBY DOO
Timo Maas - OCB <-- AWESOME
Timo Maas - To Get Down (Fatboy Slim Remix) <-- WEIRD!
Timo Maas - Ubik (The Dance)
Timo Maas pres Mad Dogs - Better Make Room (James Holden Remix)
There are plenty more, but I'd recommend these first.
Oh, and could you PM me with the details on that Timo liveset? I haven't heard it. Thanks.

tta: the new maas album "Loud" can be downloaded at morhium phase.
trancewave: Der Shieber is one excellent track, I just can't seem to play it loud enough. You might wan't to check out his remix of Green Velvet "Flash" as well, as they share some similarities. Also M.A.A.S.M.E.L.L.O.W., Ubik and Eclipse are great tracks.

Orinoko is just Timo's production name isn't it?
'Island' is bloody great anyway, I love it ... and that 'music for the maases' mix album he did sounded really classy ... at least I think it did ... I always ended up listening to it at my mate Dave's place and never managed to listen to it when I wasn't completely ripped to the tits ... errrmmmm ... well it's good music to listen to when you're totally monged I can tell you that

yeah Timo is awesome! I love the housey beats and quality of tunes he produces. His remixes are great too Actually I've been looking (forever) for OCB as it's just such a quality tune, but can't find it. I had it once, but a h/d failure sent it to the netherworld.

Timo is a great DJ specially for his style of using techno elements inside a progressive set. His mixes are also very good - his presentation last year in São Paulo (Brazil) was a success!! Hope he come back soon!
