Listening now,
Breaks are nice, but I feel the bass drum needs tightening up a bit, the backing synths are really nice, I like them a lot.
The bass is really cool also, but maybe it is this interfereing with the kick causing it to sound a bit boomy?
The progression is slow but good, I like it and the strings coming in now are nice! Nice effects in the 4x4 part.
Breakdown now,
Wicked synths and effects, they are really cool.
Breakbeats are nice again.
Overall it's a nice tune and very well made. The one thing letting it down for me is the bassdrum.
Its just really isnt working for me in the track, conflicting with the bass perhaps but even by itself it just don't sound right to me, it's too boomy, needs tightening up in my opinion and some more low end when there is no bass?
8/10 though, fix that kick and you're onto a winner I reckon.

Thanks Lunar for the comments. I'm in the works of either a different kick sample right now, or more messing with the eq-ing and compression to get the current one right. I took a chance with the bassline, even though I really like it, but new that it may cause some sort of conflict, so I do appreciate the critique on that. I'm glad to hear that you liked the synths and strings.

OK....just reworked the kick drum, and little on the bassline too to make it more fluid. Comments and feedback would be appreciated again. Thanks!!!!

Micron....thanks for the comments. I think I'm finding myself compromising the kick at the moment only cuz of my available kick samples....it seems to be always either punchy with y no bottom end, or bottom end without the kick....quite frustrating I must say only cuz I'm not completely satisfied with the kick.....and definitely with the bassline, it is very deep....so I have to be careful when playing the track NOT on my monitors, but I do agree that it fits overall in the song.
any more takes on this! thanks

Hey Illumin,
The track is quite intresting build up wise. The melody you introduce is good. The breakbeat itself is rather basic. You could get more variety in it or perhaps just add a nice percussional rat tat tat tat that ass every 16th bar or so haha. The track is a bit long and it loses a bit of its appeal after a while but the first few minutes really kept me listening with intrest.
Cheers mate!

Variety with drums and percs would indeed be nice...so I will actually give a little thought and work to that. Perhaps a little more variation throughout the track might help overall with regards to melody, breaks, interludes, bridges, etc in keeping the attention of the listener. Thanks Nomen for the comments, greatly appreciated!
More critique is appreciated! Thanks!
