not for $599.00, did you want to get this MIDI Keboard for the "Weighted hammer action", and whats the difference from the normal velocity and aftertouch sensitive Midi keboards or are they just trying to give it a different name.

I would just get a Evolution mk-149 for like $120.00

you'll only benefit from the weighted keys thing if you're a trained piano player, used to "real" pianos.

So if you are and the keys makes that much of a difference ok nothing said.

If you're not already used to weighted keys, it won't really be much of a benefit!

And since you're on TA I'm guessing you won't need the keyboard to play "bach"

ok...one of the reasons is because of the hammer action...i know that Fatar is famous for their simulated piano feel, and the contoured strike force keybed really grabbed my attention...
ive been playin the piano for a while, before i listened to electronica, so i am used to the heavier keys.

but other reasons im buying it are :

88 full sized weighted keys (which, by the way, is very handy when you're trying to program drums manually w/ a sound module than w/ a drum machine!!)
velocity sensitive w/ aftertouch
its got a pitch bend & mod wheel
Four Zones for Splits and Programmable Layers
2 Parallel MIDI outputs
Sustain Input jack
Volume Input jack
44 lbs. !!

thats a damned quality master controller
the evolution just wouldnt do, especially since its only 49 keys
i think the studio logic would make a fine center piece in anybodys home studio

ps - aftertouch is when you hold the key down and you get a lil somethin extra ...
velocity is how hard you strike the keys = how hard or soft the tone is
