There is no genre called "chill house", as far as i know. There isn't a genre called "chill-out" either. It's an adjective, a word that describes the mood and feel of the music.
"Chill-out" has been slapped onto countless compilations over the years to sell more copies, but it is more reflective of what you do when listing to the music, rather than an actual genre classification. Perfect music for relaxation, the beach, summer.....but not an actual genre.
If you listen to "chill-out" you are probably listening to mixture of nu-jazz, downtempo, trip hop and ambient.
"Chill House" is actually DEEP house, a certifiable genre with a lot of history that has been around for a long time.
That's my $0.02, Clovsha

Werd, I dont really care about genres either but its not house lol. I'd call CD1 of Danny Howells GU027 "chill house" if I had to stick it to something.
So yeah...chill track...mcprog...not my thing. eh.
I just get ticked off when people tell me Markus Shulz spins house...just like when Tiesto's MC says Tijs is taking us on a magikal journey through house music...its like fuck off man...Danny Howells owns house.
