Anything louder will automatically be percieved as "better". It's the same mistake alot of newbies like me use when we mess with compressors.
I hate the bass. It sounds like a metal rasberry-fart processed by a machine. The kick seems mediocre and the other elements seem to be very dry - as in signal processing dry.
Your bassline drops too early. It's a good technique, but the progression of the song was a tad rushed.
You've got a good idea with your melodies. I especially like the melodies around the 1:30 mark because they remind me of video game soundtrack.
2:00 WTF! What kind of supersaw is that? No offense, dude, but you need a better instrument than that. Download the Superwave P8 and you'll be able to see some interesting synthesizer patches to learn from.
3:13 - love that melody you made there. It's dynamic and dancy -- like I said, reminds me of a video game soundtrack. Your best part of the track.

Thanks, brother. Yeah, the kick is nothing to get excited about...and the compression ruined it. All was made with V-Station (the sounds, all the percussion is from BrenF...that's all I ever use). I like the harsh bass. Yeap, the song...it was rushed...I knew somebody would notice, hehe. The "supersaw"...I have that Superwave P8. I also have Vanguard, Z3ta+, Pro-53, and Korg Legacy...but I don't use them. I don't have time to fiddle around. The loudness...it's an acoustical sin...I did it for the loudness...just being childish with the dynamics. I understand...like I said, this was rushed. Had to take advantage of my only day off...so I got jiggy. The production part I am aware of the goods and bads, hehe...feedback was more on the song side. And yeah, what you considered the best part of the song is my favorite also. Everything else was kind of a filler. There's gotta be more busy people in the forums that understand were I'm coming from int erms of rushing a song. I think that if I have time, a good song could come out...I think it's got potential...and I am one that never likes what I make. Thanks for taking the time to listen and review.

V-Station... I have the V-Station and I love it. I know the V-Station can be tweaked to create better bass -- yes even harsh bass. However, I won't complain for a one-day work.

No time to fiddle around? Tweak presets; that doesn't usually take a long time. Did you actually pay for all that? I find it hard to believe that you own alot of software that I covet and don't make time to use your investments. I could be wrong - as I am a very non-wealthy bloke.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, and I only said what I did to give constructive critiques. I apologize for my use of "WTF" - that was immature on my part.
As for commenting on the "song"... I would have to listen to it a few more times to pick apart the arrangement aspects of it (asides from your bassline One Tone too quickly, and your melody).
I have a full-time job. However, I have no friends, so I don't have much of a life outside of the gym. I may not be the owner of a large coorperation, but I consider myself a busy person.

Yes, I purchased the software. It's not that I'm wealthy, because I would be lying to you if I said I am (I don't make $2,000 monthly after taxes and I've been in the Army for almost 6 years), but I never have time to go out because I am always at work, so I have some money in the bank account to burn for the sweet pleasures of life. If the Army paid overtime, I would be wealthy...LITERALLY.
About the V-Station, you are not going to believe if I tell you that the soundset I used is from Vengeance Sound. Yep, so this right here shows that the magic is in the melodies, not in the sounds, hah.
So people, before you go spending $70 on a soundset from Manuel or whoever, make sure you have creativity to put them to use. If not, save your money. I did because $70 is nothing, but to some of you, it's hard work, so spend wisely.
About your review, I dig your style...you say it like you hear it. I like that...I am the type of person that I LOVE when people are sincere. I don't like when things are sugar coated. So, I was very surprised and please even at the WTF. Somebody else would've gotten pissed...you know...most kids here in the forum are sensitive to "negative" criticism. I don't mind it...I like the truth...even if it's not what I want to hear.

I am uploading the normal version, and it's not killed dynamically like the one I posted...still flawed a lot but not squashed. I checked out my favorite trance songs on a spectrum analyzer and noticed how they all have these high peaks in some frequencies and it bothers the ears. I noticed also how loud and just mangled they are. It's true how everybody and their mother wants to be the loudest. What happened to the good ol' days of respectful mixing and mastering? Yeah, music was not that loud but it sure as hell was pleasant to the ears and everything was clear. It's like nowadays they ignore the principles and just go for who's got the loudest, pumpest sound. every mainstream artist's sound is like that. I checked Sandler - Theme Song and it's just not clear...you cannot separate in your head what's going on. The bass is sloppy, and you cannot make the kick...it's buried, not tight and apparent. Also, everything is muddied. I like Armin van Buuren, like the 76, because it might be low volumed but nothing is squashed...everything is clear and you can put it in any sound system, even in cars, and you can differentiate everything. Also, Paul van Dyk is like that. Politics of Dancing is not loud like other productions but you can notice all the sounds and the separation. So far, they're my two favorite producers in terms of cleanliness of sound. I have Tunnel Trance Force vol. 32 and that is a sonic gagglef@ck. It's not like it distorts the hell out of my sound system, because it doesn't, but I cannot listen to it for more than 5 minutes because my ears get fatigued. That doesn't happen with Trance Collective, Dj Scribble Essential Dance 2000, and other ones. You guys see what I mean?
EDIT: Here is the original version. Not perfect, but more ear friendly than the other one.
