I live in Vancouver British Columbia, but I don't support anything.
Especially not you, and your thumpity thump music, you fatty.

Everybody here is a cynic. We are like seattle, except canadian. This means that we have all the gloomy weather to make us angry/depressed, but unlike seattle, we don't have access to guns that are commonly used take it out with.
PS: Call me up and I'll show you around the town.
We have the drug district.
The slut district.
and The asian district.

Hey, I like rainy weather! Why do you think I'm moving there? And coffee! I need more coffee! With Nanaimo bars!
I've been around the city a number of times, most recently this past December. It seems I only visit Vancouver in the winter, so I should try to drop by there this summer, too. It's really weird, a huge chunk of the people I've met over the net live in the city, or are otherwise associated with the place. That on top of the fact that I was already steering towards the northwest, with BC at the top of the list. I'll settle for Seattle if I can only get a job there, but I'd prefer Vancouver.
I think I'll eschew E Hastings for Yaletown (or something of the same yuppie spirit, only cheaper). I don't need a regular fix, save for espresso.

The Lower Mainland is shit.
British Columbian Interior is where the true beauty is at. I've lived in 6 different locations all through BC, and I can tell you this. Vancouver eats your soul. If you like big cities filled with rich yuppies, Victoria is a better option. If you don't need big cities filled with rich yuppies, like I said, the interior is nice.
