New Mix

I was in a bit of a rush when I recorded it, hence it not being so long, but I think its quite enjoyable

Any feedback, good, or most likely bad is more than welcomed

01/ Radiohead- Idioteque (Intro)
02/ Neomi - Y.O.U (DJ Tomcraft Mix)
03/ Oxia - Reflexion (Kiko & Stéphane Deschezeaux Remix)
04/ Oxia - Hasard (Version 1)
05/ Ghostland ft Sinead O'Connor - Guide Me God (Voltaxx Mix)
06/ Midtone- Pearl
07/ Antiloop - Trespasser (Robbie Rivera's Twisted Mix)
08/ Marc van Linden - LH3293

Mixing is fairly good by my own standards too..

Have had to use a different host for the file though due to my webspace being shite

Bit of a nightmare- my usual host is buggered, hence sendspace...

I may try megaupload too, but try back soon, hopefully the 'maintenance' will be completed

Just started listening:

- Loving the beat of this first track, her voice is so eery and seems to have so much depth. I am definitely hoping this is a more 'emotional' type set.
- 7:25: Mixing is slightly off, I can hear you trying to adjust it, glad to hear you try and fix it. Mix kinda ended a little abruptly, no biggy.
- 11:16: Great time to start bringing in the next track. Was a little off, you fixed it quick, well done!
- These tracks work well together...the Oxia ones that is...
- 14:15: Great transition into the next track, beatmatching is bang on!
- The flow so far is fantastic....this current song seems like an interesting one (Guide me God)
- 19:00??? Damn, I don't know if I've missed the next mix or not...oh, guess not, there it is, 19:30....tad off, nothing major, you seem to fix it quickly.
- That 'Guide me God' Track is HAUNTING. Really raised the emotions mid way through the set!
- 24:35: Once again, came out a tad off, you fixed it quick. Brought the track in at the right time though. Will say, the vocals in the previous song were cut out too quickly, maybe ease it out better next time.
- Dear lord, what is this voice? Sorry, not a fan of such voices in songs...but I am loving the dirty beats in it....is there a dub version?
- 27:10: Are you already bringing the next track in? I think so...
- Either that was the mix, or it was too flawless for me to detect it, well done!

Overall, the set is great! You are mixing 8 tracks in less than 35 minutes, that is extremely impressive. If this set was completely unplanned, you've got some great skills! Either way its a solid set.
Overall, you seem to have a Hard House / Tech Sound, and I love it. I'm gonna take a stab at the bpm hovering around 138? territory, but the ambience laid out by the tracks makes it feel so moody and closer to 133...Your mixing skills are solid, most mixes come out a little off right away, but you've got enough skill to fix them quick. Also the fact you are mixing so quick gives you less time to work the tracks. Fundamentally, I see nothing wrong with your skills, its a great mix. Keep up the great work!

Might want to look into improving the record quality though, the first intro track TOPS OUT way too much and distorts a lot....

Cheers for the comments

It would have been longer, but my Mum had a stinking headache and needed some sleep - ah well !

Yeah, i needed to change the eq on the first track, and the sound quality on 'Oxia - Hasard' is shit - not a very well pressed vinyl !!! I have been mixing now for a year and a bit.. but only occasionally record them !!

Cheers again

Sorry, I was a bit rushed this morning when I replied ! I was half way out of the door !

Yeah, I was quite pleased with it - I just like messing about really, don't like taking it too seriously. I still need to work on my beat mixing - it sometimes (more often than not!) lets me down, but this it was 'pretty good'...

As for the sound quality - well, that Oxia track is a bitch - the pressing is shocking !!! As for the others, they sounded fine except a bit of EQ work is needed on track 1 !!!

Cheers for your comments though - many thanks.
