Monkey Dancer 2 [Clownstep] Connet - Tabx5453x(Original Mix)

Hi There!

I actually got around to make some Drum and Bass music. Originally it was supposed to be a pure Orchestral/Classical track but in the end it turned out to work so well with the breaks I had that I couldn't resist.

Name: Connet - Tabx5453x(Original Mix)
Bitrate: 192 Kbps / 44 KHZ
Length: 9:14
Size: 12,6 MB
Link: http://s48.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=...0B2FU1DGB93YMUC
(Yousendit, left click)

Still some last Mastering/Effects left to do so this should be the time to get your hands on the midipack(link below) and start remixing this!

Wannna Remix: MidiPack-TABx
(right click, save as...)

cool intro, and then that break comes ^^ cool, very emotional!

the choir thing fits but could be better i think!

i think the tune changes to "abrupt", to quick.. sure it all sounds amazing but its still to fast for me. the glassbell things might bee screechin, the beat thingy coming in is cool.. but the "sparkling" doesnt sound to nice to me, maybe lower them?

the beat is really cool! the bassline kinda takes over the whole track, the one at 3:30 ish. the sounds that comes in right before 4:00 is really nice.

i liked how you pitch the beat after that.

and then the instrumental part again, that bass thing has gotten kinda repetetive! maybe variate it some more, then comes a cool emo part! i liked how you maked that pluck thing into a supersaw / saw .. ish thing .

this is really high tempo! then the bells again, and the massive intro string

the intro string was really cool.. the brass things in the back is kinda cool, not so usual. then in the middle of everythin comes a piano! not expected, good one. that pad thingy is a bit out of order i think! the outro is kinda interesting.

i really liked the intro alot but i think the second half of it wasnt that good...

great work otherwise!

Thx @Cola for the detailed review.
Yeah I knew that the speed is to fast especially compared to all the other music on TA but I am working on a Trance Version right now and I hope that some of you guys try to make a Remix, too.(I could upload some wav samples if that would encourage you!)

well the speed is really ok for dnb wich isnt posted alot att TA..

i meant that the synth's etc changes to abruptly (however you spell that word), you dont use alot of fading and filtering in this tune wich makes it hard for it to flow!

orchestral part sounds very good, what did you use for that? (clipping here, watch your levels).

the flow from part to part isn't very clean... also takes forever to get into the breakbeat. midbass is very loud as well... if you bring out the subbass more and subdue the raspy midbass, you'll have a good balance on most levels.

you need more variations in the bassline as well to keep things interesting

i like most of elements tho... i might have a shot at remixing if i ever get some spare time hah. good work, nonetheless

The orchestral section is nifty.

The reverb on the drums felt too much, but I guess those were just effects.

I think you could do to have your drums vary their rhythm more. It doesn't have to be much. A shifted hit here, an added hit there, and an omitted hit somewhere else. Experiment.
