what CD players would you start with?

What would be the first cd player you would get if you were starting to spin cds after learning to spin vinyl?

Either the CDJ 800 or 1000, because of vinyl emulation/large jog wheel. For first CD player having not spun on vinyl first...CDJ 200. I spun on vinyl for 2 years and I decided on the 1000, yeah you can save money with the 800, but the 1000 is a dream. It's awesome...

every one loves the cdj 200 on here due to its 0.2 pitch resolution, so thats an option! the denon dns1000 are also pretty good! personally i have the numrk axis 9s and although people have bad things to say about them on here, ive not had any problems with them, although the pitch resolution is poor compared to the cdj 200 it makes up for it with other functions plus its one of the older contenders.

if uve already learnt on vinyl a larger pitch resolution wont be as noticable coz of the way the tracks ul be playin will be perfectly staying in time instead of the the wow and flutter u get with turntables. the only issue ul have is with badly ripped or encoded mp3s that have come from vinyl that will have the the wow and flutter recorded.

imo its alot easier to mix with cd so just get urself a nice pair and practice!

hope ive helped a bit and not just boed u to death.

Your only real options are either the CDJ200's or the Denon s1000's... My personal (and biased opinion) would be the CDJ200's, I've loved mine so far, and to be honest I don't miss anything that the 800/1000's offer.

ok thanks guys. Im looking for vinyl emulation if possible on a CD Player at the price i mentioned before. So do any of the CD players mentioned before have vinyl emulation. They were pioneer CDJ200, Denon s1000's, and numark axis 9 (im intrested in these)

i just got a pair of CDJ800s and i love them, and i hadnt mixed vinyl before.

i love them. i probably would have got CDJ200s, but i managed to get a pair of used CDJ800s for cheaper than i could have got new CDJ200s.

i love my CDJ800s

the s1000's are prolly the only ones in that group of 3 that simulates vinyl somewhat.. as you can scratch with it... scratching it not possible on the 200's. Not sure about the Axis 9's but they aren't really in the same category I wouldn't think as the 200's and s1000's
