trust me, you play what you want noone will dance except you unless you have a young crowd that are all into the same music.
old people will if they hear those pots n pans.
usually its the typical top40 from few years ago. michael jackson mixed in with the russian dance. heard it every week for a year and a half while working weddings.got the ppl dancing, usually they don't wanna hear anything new and unexpected, they want to hear the same old songs that they're familiar with so they can do their dance.

you'd have to play something for everyone - you want all the guests to get up and dance - classics are always the best way to go. Bon Jovi, Shania Twain, Michael Jackson, some 80s, some 90s, some slow songs and most likely some Portuguese tunes to please my side of the family
