hey i have a bit of a problem.... i've got a DJ gig at an 18th this saturday night, its my first one... and i'm not sure if my speakers and amp are going to cut it... cause its teh first gig, im not charging very much at all... mates rates sorta thing... anyone got any good places they have delt with before that can hire out decent PA stuff for this party and CHEAP!

i figure rather than sort thru thousands of yellow pages directories, just see if you guys and girls have anything decent in mind.. thanks in advance!

When I used to do mobile gigs I went through Pro Light & Sound.. in the south eastern suburbs.. check them out..

no offence mate but i cringe when i hear people say stuff like this. realistically what will they actually do if he does mention this? they've never even met the guy before. hell you dont even know him. i've been put in this position so many times and i've gotten nada. humiliating for both parties i think.

ps. pro light and sound in murrembeena have a good range. pricey but.

Very thorough! Will be paying them a visit and if, as u say, it actually works to align yourself with a big event I'll mention it. I do see where jizza is coming from, and hearing ppl say "oh say u know <> for a better price" usually it just generates a "cool" response and then they look at you till you speak again lol. But empowered with the knowledge that it has worked previously for Matt, I shall strive on!
