It's good. There is some quite obvious sample looping going on there though.
I think it would be alot cooler with a synthesized "guitar" sound instead. I just don't think electric guitars and trance mix together, but that's just my opinion.

To tell you the truth, I don't like it. What FX are you using for the guitar, the distortion doesn't sound very good. Try using a little less gain.

I am also of the opinion that trance and electric guitars do not really go well together The distortion will kill your track and eat all a lot of room in your soundspectrum. I think electric guitars will give you a headache during the mixdown of a track. You can already hear with just a couple of sounds in your sample that the guitar takes up a whole lot of room.

Cheers mate!

I like guitar

It sounds pretty good. It's not Slayer2 which is what I use. I don't think it's midi guitar either (which I want)

It sounds roughly like an imitation of a Gibson through a Marshall with a Boss Distortion pedal. Which I think is a very effective guitar sound! The best part was the downward slide you have about half through, very, very good and convincing. The weakest parts were the high notes which sounded like an old casio keyboard on the guitar setting

If you keep it in a middle register it's very convincing. And the slides sound like bottleneck work. It would be best and least disturbing to trance to maybe go for a middle register blues-rock slide feel, like Rolling Stones or maybe Santana. Which would go well with trance especially if you lean just a shade to a breakbeat.

I love guitar. It's the trance that needs work for me.

sounds quite ok,

as mentoined before the distortion is a bit to muddy. as i think in most cases distortion and reverb dont work together very well. i would use a little less distortion. i like the melody.

Awesome!

I play electric guitar (Fender Stratocaster) and I loved your sample ;-)

ryan, i put a guitar song of mine on the forum here for you. It's heavy metal, so be prepared. But you can hear that. I'm less happy with my chords than your sound, but I like the sound I get on the solo a lot. I call the genre "psymetal" , and the tune is called "homegrown".

I see you're getting a lot of negativity on this. Welcome to world of the experimental artist, brother. Fact is, most people hate guitar, hate style fusion, hate new sounds . . . Most people don't like ANYTHING new or different, scares the shit out of them. You're just supposed to stay in your little cage, dude.

Heh, I hope I didn't come out as an ass
Anyway, I really like the melody, but again, the sound doesn't do it for me. It doesn't sound very "real", it has too much distortion, that's why I suggested lowering the gain to have a more clean sound. You could also lower the amount of reverb a bit, as it was mentioned by soundrush.
