[Trance/Chilled] Armas - State of Ecstacy (UPDATED!)

I've updated the song based on reviews, and tried my best to enhance the song, please give a review if you listen to it Both old and new versions are on that link below!

Alright here's my first track, entitled "State Of Ecstacy":

http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.as...s=358366&T=6890

I made it from scratch in FL Studio 6, so i'm really proud of what I got out of it Not to mention the fact that i'm relitivley new to this music making business hehe, but that doesn't mean you should be all nice in your criticsm, be as harsh as you want!

So give a listen and tell me what you think

Thanks!

Welcome to the production realm of trance, mate. You're hooked for life!

The piano is ok... there are some notes that sound sampled (because of the sampler), but that's a nit-pick. I'd try to look for a better piano soundfont if you're really serious about the piano business.

The rest sounds more like mellow acid-jazz to a Four_On_Four on floor beat (yeah, that's what my name is all about).

THe bassline isn't moving the track the way I hoped it would. I would also search for a better Moog-ish sound so that it sounds less 80-ish.

THe kick sample sounds kinda like an FL sample. FL samples are generally mediocre unless they are processed heavily or layered.

Otherwise, you're eons ahead of the first track that I created.

Hey, thanks for the review . First off, which sounds seemed sampled? Althought I did no sampling whatsoever, and did this track from scratch, I may have sampled subconciously Also, you're one of many who've said that about the bassline. Moreover, the kick is a FL sample, as everything was produced in FL. But since you mentioned that, can you (or anyone) give me any pointers as to how to "heavily-process" or "layer" FL samples, such as the kick.

Other than that, I more that appreciate you review, and will take your words into mind as I refine and comb the many songs I currently have in production

Cheers

Nice piano, use a little bit more reverb on it.
The samples are fl samples, try to get some sample packs.
I don't like what you did with the clap in the back.
For a first track it's really good, you'll get better as the time goes on.

I don't mean to sound crude, but this is a thread to review my song, not tell me that my name is already taken, you could've pm'd me about that.

Please use this thread, and other review threads, to do what is to be done: reviewing a song!
