[progtrancebreakz] Pjotr G - Beside Me

Hey folks,

I just finished up a new track, and one of the first things that
springs to mind is, what would TA think?

Would like to hear your opinions. And that is me singing.

Some very nice ideas in here, though your mix needs some work..

When it opened I was expecting the kick to come in much more strongly than it did, as the track progressed it became clear that it's basically your loop is too loud and your kick still needs to be stronger. Also about 2/3 of the way in you start overloading your master and lots of distortion is cropping in (And the vocal disappears. :-(

try taking every fader and moving it back about 10 db, and turn your master up.. Then turn the loop down some more, and the kick up and work from there..

Structure is nice (though a little safe), but the sounds are really good..

Nice vocal BTW.. ;-)

PM me if you want to chat about this mix some more..

I concur about the kick. There wasnt enough bass drops every now and again to accentuate the breakbeat section. The melodies were the standout point of the track, particularly in the breakdown.. but I think that the little variation on the breaks let the tune down.. as most of the decent breaks songs available are really edgy and have a lot of stuttering and chopping going on.

Wasn't particularly in love with the vocals, but a good effort nonetheless. Always love to hear your stuff Pjotr

good intro.
0:30 - that melody sounds a bit like the one from yet another day
Nice bass. The breakbeat is repeative. Vary it.
Good vocals. "I see you" is too low. You should compress it more. I reccommend Voxengo Voxformer.
The lyrics are cheesy as hell.
2:55 Nice melody.
The track itself is repetitive.
You should add more elements, more fxes.

5/10
Omer

Very good track.
I like the vocals but they are to low.
Concur with above.

my point proved exactly! - why has this vanished so low on the list???? this should have 20+ replies!

massive perc loop to start. generic but not at the same time...

i like

this sounds like a really pro track.. i love your synth selection. the bass is warm and summery.

synths and melodies fit it superbly!

vocal - great! - voice is nice and subtle. id turn it up very slightly. not much tho!

i can imagine this on a summer 'ministry of sound' comp. on a beach party.

the girlies would love it!

no complaints at all really..

please can you send me the 320kbps version if you have time. for me enjoyment

rich

nice work here man, very well done. kick and bass work well... kick could be a little louder as mentioned previously. bassline progression is nice and dark. the beat itself needs work, it's too basic and needs some variations and fills. synths are fine as well. that arpeggiated melody that comes in before the bassline gets annoying after some time...

i'm a fan of breakbeats and overall, not a bad track... could be somethign very good after some fixes.

It's a real dry sound. I like it, but it could sound fuller. The first arp kind of distant and dry I really like. Very cool. The kick could be stronger especially for this kind of tune. I actually like the vocals, you don't overdo it or anything. It's not my thing, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless.

Yet another top notch tune from Pjotr, everything fits perfectly, the vocal's is really good (and I'm very very picky about vocals)

The melodies and chords really draw you in, really relaxing too (which I really need right now so thank you!)... I could listen to this all day

9/10

(Mark scale: 0 Give Up, 1-3 Gonna take some more work, 4-5 Nearly there, 6-8 Signable, 9-10 Outstanding)
